About Nicole

Nicole Crowder is the founder and upholsterer behind Nicole Crowder Upholstery, a custom furniture design studio based in Minneapolis, MN. She is also the Editor-At-Large for Mpls-St. Paul Home & Design magazine.

Nicole Crowder Upholstery is a boutique design and upholstery studio that creates custom and modern heirloom furniture and home décor products that are rooted in propelling imagination and storytelling. Nicole sources, concepts, and reupholsters modern furniture and mixes it with contemporary and eclectic textiles from around the world. Her designs are inspired by culture, the color palettes and textures found in nature, and her ancestry.

In January 2022 Nicole released her first furniture collection with retailer World Market.

Nicole's work has been extensively profiled in Architectural Digest, Martha Stewart Living, Elle Decor, Business of Home, Better Homes and Gardens, Domino magazine, Design Milk, The Washington Post, and has been featured on television.
